COMING HOME – RETREAT 2014

REPOSTING this article by popular request. Enjoy!

Our theme for March is “Coming Home to Ourselves.” Coincidentally, we just facilitated our retreat of the same name.

So, what does it mean to come home to oneself?

Well, on our retreats we always walk a labyrinth in a contemplative manner. As we enter the labyrinth, we shed all of our outer busy lives, as a snake sheds its skin. There are many twists and turns in a labyrinth, just as there are many twists and turns in life. At times we may feel that we’re almost there, only to find ourselves far away from where we expected to be.  Such is life.

The place in the center holds the treasure. The place in the center is home. We wander and wander, we seek and we contemplate, and then suddenly we’re there. Home.

Is this Love?

“Is this LOVE?” OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAThis is our theme for February.  Whether we are talking about loving others or ourselves, we have to look within and see how our heart is doing? Is the heart light and happy? Is it stressed? Is it angry or resentful? Is there a yearning for more? Is it empty? This is a great place to start your search. A lot of people ask me questions regarding their love life. When will I have the love of my life? When will I meet that special someone? What can I do to rekindle my marriage? All these questions can have specific answers but the most common answer is looking within and checking the heart. Are you really ready to meet your partner? Do you still need to heal a past love? What do you need to let go of so you can move forward in love?  These are all things Sherry and I can help you work on. Book your Love Coaching or Love Reading session today. – Love, Glory

No More Waiting

Longing to be With You

Anticipating the forbidden encounter,
I take this opportunity
to carefully open myself up,
exposing my yearning
and my unkept promises,
revealing my vulnerability
at its core.

I’m here, I witness myself saying hesitantly,
I feel a little nervous and unsure,
for it’s been so long since we’ve last met,
I’ve forgotten how to be with you;

But we’re here now,
together at last,
I hear myself whispering,
just little ole me
in the forbidden encounter,
alone with my soul.   — Sherry Puricelli

January is our month for Self Care. It sounds so easy. Many of us believe we’re already doing it. But are we really? Ask yourself if you’ve been waiting. No? No “after I help my children with …?,” No “as soon as I finish with …?” No “on my first free day?”

Well, being one of the world’s best (or worst) students in this game of self care, after several failing grades, I believe I’m off to a great start … um, well this time!

Today’s lesson on self care is — NO WAITING!

Do something extremely radical to treat yourself. Today, I’m hanging out with me and we’re treating ourselves to a spa treatment! Ooo Yay! Then I’m having champagne with my husband and then we’re heading out to a restaurant for a nice, romantic dinner. Tomorrow morning? I’m sleeping in, then I’m treating myself to two more spa treatments! Now, that’s radical! Or at least it is for me.  Aaahh, together at last!

Wondering how you are doing at self care? What grade would you give yourself?

Retreat!

Sherry and Glory have chosen a destination for their next retreat!!! For the month of January we are extremely focused on Self-Care. Before we can tackle the year ahead we must put ourselves at the top of the list. We will be going to the beautiful  www.redmountainresort.com/. After booking our stay, Sherry asked her guides what the theme song would be for this retreat and the song that came on was “The Best Day of My Life”, by the American Authors. The lyrics are perfect. We can’t wait to go on retreat and share all the wonderful messages with you! With love and light, Glory and Sherry.

Hi, folks – Sherry here. Just to provide a little backstory, Glory and I regularly participate in (as well as provide) retreats. We’ve been doing this for years and we’ve developed our own vibe.

Every retreat has a theme, we identify and embody archetypal themes to break through obstacles and stuck-places in our lives.

We usually walk a labyrinth, we create ceremonies, and while we’re at it, we also take good care of ourselves by getting pampered, eating yummy foods, and having plain ole girlfriend time.

Now, are you ready for a retreat with us?
