The Tower

Get a home inspection before the Tower shows up!!!

I love how synchronicity shows up at the best times.  So, for the past two days the subject of the Tower Card has come up for me. If you are unfamiliar with the Tarot, it can be a very scary card. The image of lightning hitting a tower and people jumping off can feel like the end of the world. This card, through the years, has taught me to see the blessings in its messages. My response to this card is usually about foundation and re-structuring.  It can shake us to the core and leave us feeling defeated but I always reassure people that this only happens when things need to change.  The structure is cracked and it is through the lightning (en-lighten-ment) that we recognize that things can’t continue going the way they were.

The past two days, I have been revisiting a relationship that is in a state of “tower”, and I have realized that Tower also invites us to look at patterns, the bricks that have built this relationship. After much inner reflection and the help from a little angel (Sherry), I was able to see the patterns that were unconsciously created. My patterns and the patterns of the other party have created this unstable tower.  So what do I do now? I get clear about my pattern and my role in it. I remember all the wonderful things I bring to this relationship and really get to the core, foundation, the root, the bottom, and the heart and ask the tough questions. Can I still be in this relationship?  If the answer is yes, can I be in this relationship and show up in the same way? Maybe, a new boundary may need to be set. The tower reminds us that a new foundation is needed in order to build again. Maybe the relationship has come to an end or the old way of being has come to an end. Either way, I think being honest and clear with myself and what I want moving forward will lead me to the answers that I seek.

Ok, ready for the synchronicity?  I have a home inspection scheduled for today.  No biggie, but because I am going through this Tower experience, I notice the connection of what a home inspection really is. It is the scanning of the home. The inspector looks at the structure, foundation and all the workings of the home to see what things are working properly and what needs repair. He has a meter that searches for leaks and moisture.  He can tell you if the roof needs a few shingles or needs to be completely re-done.

So the lesson for today…. Get your home, body, relationships, situations inspected from time to time. A quick scan of what’s happening before the Tower comes in and shakes, rattles and has you free falling, before the crumbling of something that might have needed a tweak here and there ends or causes worst damage.
